ABOUT JESS
I’m a Colorado experienced food photographer specializing in menu, brand, CPG, advertising, and lifestyle food photography. Since graduating in 2004 with a B.A. in Advertising Photography from Brooks Institute, my work has taken me around the world. I’ve had the honor of photographing for both major agencies and one-person shops, creating images for global brands, local restaurants, and mom-and-pop businesses from Denver and Boulder to clients across the U.S. and internationally. The variety, creativity, and beauty of this work continue to challenge and inspire me every day.
Collaborating with positive, creative people is truly the heart of what I do. I believe the people you surround yourself with shape your happiness and the work you create. I’m incredibly grateful for the talented teams I’ve worked alongside, and for the inspiring family, hilarious friends, and wonderful clients who have supported me throughout my 20+ years as a food and lifestyle photographer.
My team and I bring the experience, problem-solving, and flexibility needed for everything from large commercial productions to adventurous on-location shoots—even the occasional cliffside setup in Moab. Whether you’re a local restaurant, national brand, or agency looking for a commercial food photographer in Colorado, we travel wherever the project takes us.
In 2017, my husband and I traded Denver’s congestion for life just 20 minutes west in Arvada, Colorado. Being closer to nature has been a dream: we live beside a lake, surrounded by horse properties, at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. And with both Denver and Boulder only a short drive away, we can still get our city fix and stay easily accessible to clients as a Colorado food photographer. The move also allowed me to build out a full commercial kitchen, an extensive prop room, and a large client area with parking to support high-end commercial productions.
Over the past few years, we’ve been learning to garden on our property, and I’m especially grateful in the summer and fall when I can pick fresh ingredients to use on set.
After each shoot, I come home to my incredibly creative husband, Roger; our adventurous son, Julian; our sweet daughter, Willow; and our silly dog, Fig who occasionally sneaks his way onto the set and steals the show.
Come visit us in Arvada… and seriously, please take home some zucchini. 😉
